Seeing More was originally intended as a celebration of a lengthy process of going back into old paintings with new eyes. However, our pandemic intervened, and so did Black Lives Matter ... and a deeper awareness of Indigenous lives as well. I’m grateful to be able to bring these paintings forward again - with a renewed commitment to Seeing More deeply, and Caring More widely.
This show is dedicated to my own dearly loved and held, multi-racial family.
VisionOpportunity is an exhibition of abstract paintings created in Kona Hawaii, and in the Okanagan Valley. Location influences the colour palette, and the topic which began as musings about the differences between having a set vision for one’s future, and staying open to opportunity and chance. The paintings, on canvas and wood, range in size from 24x24 to 36x48.
